About Our School
At ESF West Island School (WIS), we use best practices from around the world to ensure every child is kind, happy, engaged, and always learning. Our focus on knowing students as individuals and nurturing their unique talents means we offer a wide variety of courses.
Our main goal is to achieve stellar academic results, but we also know that learning isn’t just confined to a classroom. All students take part in our brilliant CAS programme, which focuses on Creativity, Activity and Service, and provides exceptional learning opportunities beyond the school grounds. Whichever path you choose, all students receive a high-quality, challenging, international education. Our school works in partnership with parents, and the PTA is an integral part of life here. Meet the Principal
Vicki Hallatt
Vicki held a position as a Deputy Head at The British School in The Netherlands before she has joined ESF. She has taught History, Global Politics and TOK. She also has been DP and CP coordinator and had a number of academic and pastoral roles including being Head of Upper School whilst she was in Dubai. She spent three years working with Project Zero at Harvard Graduate School of Education whilst she was in Dubai on an action research project into critical thinking.
